Brian Johnson

Brian Johnson is co-founder and CEO of DivvyCloud, a next generation cloud automation technology company. Brian leads DivvyCloud’s vision of how to enable the future of cloud computing. He is passionately focused on technology innovation, success of customers, and creating a great place to work and grow. Starting at a very young age, Brian developed a passion for almost anything involving computers. His interest in everything from programming to linux administration lead him to be Director of Online Operations at Electronic Arts for the Mythic Studio by the age of 28. He is a seven year veteran of the online Gaming Industry where he developed, managed, and operated some of Electronic Art’s largest online games. During that time Brian managed one of the first migrations of a major MMO to the Amazon cloud, and broke new ground in hybrid cloud deployment. Brain’s career also involved spending time on the “dark side” where he conducted remote exploit R&D. During this time he came to appreciate “it’s a question of when, not if” your environment will be compromised.

Dave Duvall

SVP Infrastructure at Discovery Communications

As Senior Vice President of Infrastructure & Support Services at Discovery Communications, Dave Duvall leads global end-to-end infrastructure and customer support service spanning the company’s information technology needs. In this role, he provides strategic direction to ensure alignment and collaboration with businesses while driving and efficiency in a rapidly evolving technology landscape. A fourteen-year Discovery veteran, Duvall has wide-ranging experience in IT infrastructure platform design, configuration and management. Prior to assuming his current role, he served as the Vice President of Global Infrastructure Services, where he led a team of more than 70 IT engineering and operations staff delivering reliable platforms and infrastructure solutions.Duvall began his career as an IT consultant, working with contracts and clients to provide IT outsourcing services and consultative services.Duvall holds a degree in Information Systems, with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and is based at Discovery Communications’ World Headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Christopher Porter

CISO at Fannie Mae

Christopher Porter is the CISO for Fannie Mae. In this role, he helps to communicate the importance of information security across the enterprise and to mature and innovate Fannie Mae’s defense and response capabilities. Porter has over 15 years of experience in IT and security industries. His background includes work as an economist, network and system administration, information security consultant and researcher. In his previous role at Verizon, Porter was a lead analyst and author of Verizon’s Data Breach Investigations Report series. He was also the co-creator of the VERIS Framework (Vocabulary for Event Recording and Incident Sharing) which allows organizations to collect and report security incident metrics in a standard and repeatable manner. Porter has a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Psychology from the University of Virginia. He also earned his master’s degree in Management of Information Technology from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce. Porter is a member of the Advisory Board for the McIntire School of Commerce, Advisory Board at the University of Virginia, as well as the Board of Directors at the FAIR Institute.

Thomas Martin

Former CIO at General Electric

Thomas is a transformational IT Executive with a broad functional business background. He has over 25 years of executive-level experience in the highly regulated industrial manufacturing/service sectors of Aerospace, Nuclear, Gas Turbine Energy, and Oil & Gas. Globally mobile, Thomas has lived across 7 states, both US coasts, and Europe. A proven leader, he has implemented complex ERPs with international footprints, and has been both a CIO and CTO of major business units within the General Electric Company. Prior to transitioning to work with startups full-time, Thomas was leading the Application Transformation efforts for GE. He and his team drove application portfolio analytics through enhanced Gartner PACE modeling. They specialized in the successful management of transforming applications to a modern tech stack, and moving those workloads to the public cloud, while seamlessly maintaining a hybrid application eco-system including legacy on-premise hosting. Additionally, and most rewarding was the opportunity to initiate and own the development and curation of the GE Bot army to manage policy enforcement and optimization of cloud assets. Thomas serves on the advisory board for the University of Cincinnati School of Information Technology, and the Greater Cincinnati STEM Collaborative. Thomas holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Marine Engineering from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts. He is Six Sigma Black Belt certified and a graduate of GE’s Experienced Information Management Program (EIMP).
